Three FAST, FREE, EASY ways to help shelter pets through the power of your computer!

Calling all pet loving bloggers!

Several weeks ago, I posted three things that bloggers (or pretty much anyone with a website, or anyone that uses the internet) can do to help shelter pets using the power of the internet.

Here's three more FAST, EASY, and FREE things you can do online to help shelter pets!

1. Join the Care2.com network. This is a social networking site with all sorts of great features that focuses on social issues, such as pets in need, saving the environment, and helping stop violence against women. One quick thing you can do EVERY DAY, is to click on each of the free "click to donate" items, particularly the button to help pets in need.

Add a button to your site, like the one seen at the top, right hand side of my page, to remind your visitors to click for free to help pets in need.

2. Post an ad on Craigslist. If you are a Craigslist user, you can make a huge difference for shelter pets looking for homes. Simply go to your local animal control website, or to Petfinder.com and find a pet that tugs at your heartstrings. Go to an appropriate Craigslist city, and post an ad for that pet, making sure to include the appropriate contact information for the pet. Anecdotal evidence suggests that shelter pets that are advertised on Craigslist have a much better chance of being seen, and being adopted.

3. Add an ASPCA widget to your page. As you can see, I've got one of these on the right side of my page. Add an ASPCA widget to your page and help raise funds to fight animal cruelty. It's a really fast, easy way to help raise funds and raise awareness on behalf of the ASPCA.
